In an effort to stimulate the economy, Business Oregon is offering $25 million in deferred loans through its 2026 Industrial Site Loan Fund to developers interested in preparing industrial sites for construction, according to The Portland Business Journal. Private companies and municipalities can seek up to $4 million in loans through Sept. 3 to create sites ready for industrial development, and a House bill signed by Gov. Tina Kotek promises to increase the speed for processing permits. The goal is to attract new businesses, help existing companies expand, and create jobs statewide. Borrowers may have loans deferred up to five years.
