OutDry Sues Geox

Columbia Sportswear Subsidiary OutDry has filed a lawsuit against Italian footwear company, Geox S.p.A., claiming it is stealing OutDry’s proprietary water-proofing technology. The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in the southern district of New York, asks for a temporary injunction to stop U.S. sales of Geox footwear Amphibiox which uses the water-proofing and seeks a jury trial and unspecified monetary damages. Similar lawsuits have been filed in Italy and Germany.
