Greg Walden sponsors free business cybersecutiy conference

By NFIB Oregon

The increasing threat of cybersecurity breaches are affecting small businesses in a big way. As with everything, knowledge is the power to protect yourself, which is why NFIB is encouraging its members in the Bend and Medford areas to attend a free, two-hour presentation by nationally recognized cybersecurity expert Bill Conner.

These two workshops are being sponsored by U.S. Rep. Greg Walden, who as chairman of the House Subcommittee on Communications and Technology has made small-business cybersecurity a top priority of his.

Connor, CEO of Entrust, will discuss recent trends in cyber threats and what you can do to combat them. Congressman Walden will also provide an update on legislative efforts to protect small businesses.

NFIB members interested in attending the Bend workshop should make a reservation with Nick Strader in the congressman’s office at 541-389-4408 or by email at [email protected]. For the Medford workshop, a reservation can be made with Troy Ferguson at 541-776-4646 or by email at [email protected].
