Ford buys back its trademark logo for $23 billion

Six years ago, Henry Ford’s great-grandson, Bill Ford, had to make a bold call for more funds and entere dinto a $23 billion loan from multiple banks.   At stake was the rights to the famous blue oval logo and other iconic brands and images.    The loan came through and that $23 billion helped weather $30 billion in loses that hit Ford over the next few years.  Now Ford has repaid the loan and has had its investment-grade credit rating restored the logo’s full rights have been returned.   CNN interview below with Bill Ford.
