CEO of Waste Management which operates in Oregon, David Steiner spoke to CNN-Money News about how he was able to make improvements which meant decreased union membership.
Someone ought to talk to Precision Castparts management about its continual squeezing of existing workers, requiring continual mandatory overtime. The pay is good, but the workers are exhausted from Precision’s success, booming business that is. Precision needs to hire a few more working employees to give existing workers some needed rest. Precision is risking unionization by not heeding the workers’ want of more regular-like hours.
