The following chart shows the top five companies listing the most job openings in Portland on simplyhired.com: Note – Number in parenthesis denotes month-over-month change
1. Intel – 1,258 jobs (22.5%)
2. Providence Health & Services – 606 jobs (7.8%)
3. Safeway – 381 jobs (14.3%)
4. McDonald’s – 257 jobs (20.4%)
5. PeaceHealth – 192 jobs (4.0%)
Job openings increased nationally in all 50 major metro areas in April. Portland employers listed 52,308 jobs, a 9% increase month-over-month and 45.9% year-over-year. The ratio of unemployed persons to jobs available is 3:1.
