The American postal Workers Union has put out television commercials warning about lost jobs and service if predicted postal cuts are made. The television spot highlights people who are dependent on mail and alerts that over 100,000 jobs are at stake. The ads come in light of nationwide post office closings, cuts and discussions of canceling Saturday mail service. As mentioned previously, Oregon is already losing postal centers in Eugene, Salem, Bend and Pendleton [5].
