Jan Meekcoms, Oregon state director for the National Federation of Independent Business, America’s largest and leading small-business association with 350,000 dues paying members across the nation, including 7,500 in Oregon, issued the following statement on today’s passage of H.R. 3 in the U.S. House of Representatives.
“In Oregon we are seeing a positive attitude-adjustment and some job growth in small businesses influenced by lower gas prices. Approval of the Keystone XL Pipeline is another boost in the right direction. For a state whose unemployment rate remains above the national average and our income per capita below the national average, this is important to Oregon.”
