During and After the Toyota Recalls

If you look around you will see Toyota models everywhere and more than likely if it is a late model it is included in the recall.  If it is an older one then it is not included.  If you are the owner of a recalled Toyota then everything is going to be okay.  Don’t get me wrong because brakes that don’t work and accelerating vehicles do not make consumers feel safe.  If you look at the total number of claims you will find that it is a very small percentage of cars (less than 1%) that actually have a claim where something really went wrong.  If you have a Toyota that is included in the recall do not go and sell it for a loss.  If you are looking for a deal then maybe buying a new Toyota or another brand that is competing with Toyota could be a good thing to do right now.

Recalls of this magnitude bring huge concerns to those that are in the market for a new vehicle.  Toyota has gone out of its way to offer deals such as 0% for 60 months on most of its models to win back customers.  If you are a current Toyota owner and buy a new one you will also get two years/24K months worth of no charge maintenance.  Many other manufacturers have offered rebates of $1000 to anyone that owns a Toyota and wants to move to another brand while leaving their old Toyota at the curb.

This is a great time to purchase a brand new vehicle since the incentives are better than they have been in the past.  I guess you have the recalls to thank.  The automobile companies have noticed that great incentives actually work because sales have been better this March then in any time in the last eighteen months except for the Cash for Clunker deals that were offered in August.
