The joint effort makes The Oregonian one of the first newspapers in the country to take advantage of the ground-breaking mobile technology.
Pages initially available include historical events from the Portland Trail Blazers’ 1977 NBA title to Oregon State University’s upset of No. 1-ranked USC during the 2008 football season, from the end of World War II to the inauguration of Barack Obama. Additional content will be added regularly.
Each wallpaper costs $1.99, invoiced on the buyer’s monthly mobile phone bill. They are available for preview and purchase at Oregonlive.com/photostore (http://oregonianphoto.com/mobile/).

The Cellyspace.com partnership is a small and fun part of that shift, blending the newspaper’s past with its future in an entirely new way.”
Powering The Oregonian’s mobile store is Skycore’s Cellyspace.com platform, which delivers messaging and content through SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) and WAP Push (Wireless Application Protocol).
